I am very grateful to Stephen Swailes for the opportunity to present here his transcripts of Northamptonshire tax assessments from 1301 and the reign of Henry VIII, together with his Introduction to the 1301 assessment. The transcripts can be searched by place names and personal names.
Note that in some of the transcripts of the Tudor assessments the surname is given first, and then the Christian name.
