To all the faithful [etc] Lawrence de Foresta, son and heir of Gilbert de Foresta, greetings. I have inspected
the charter which Rosemunda, my mother, made for John de Treueglos in her widowhood and lawful power in these words -
Know all [etc]
that I Rosemunda who was the wife of Gilbert de Foresta will and grant for me and my heirs in my widowhood and lawful power that John de Treueglos, son
and heir of Richard de Treueglos, and his heirs and assigns shall hold all their lands of Treueglos, of Crucmoreck and of Hengolon of me and my heirs
and assigns in free, pure and perpetual socage, rendering annually for their land of Treueglod 4 shillings at the feast of All Saints and at the feast of the apostles Philip
and James by equal portions, and 2 sheep [bidentes] at the feast of the apostles Philip and James and also 6 pence for free aid, and 2 pence
and a halfpenny for ploughing [arrura] and one halfpenny for sowing-service [seura] And this at the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Mary, rendering also for their land of Crucmorech 9 shillings at the feast of All
Saints and at the feast of the apostles Philip and James by equal portions, rendering also for their land of Hengolon 2 shillings and 11 pence at the feast of All Saints and at the feast of the apostles
Philip and James by equal portions, and 6 pence for free aid, and 1 hog at the feast of the apostles Philip and James for all services, suits
and demands, saving suit of the court of me and my heirs. Warranty by Rosemunda and her heirs.
Witnesses: Masters Robert de La Rache, Richard de Trehenben, Roger de Hustyng, Luke de Trerahek,
Edmund de Treueglos and others. And for this John gave 3 and a half marks sterling. Given at
Aldeston on Sunday next before the feast of the Holy Trinity 32 Edward [I] [17 May 1304].
I confirm the grant made by Rosemunda, whose heir I am.
For this confirmation John gave 1 plot of land in his land of Crucmoreth at the mill to be erected.
Witnesses: Roger de Hustyng, John de Treuorgas, William de Kaerhorta, Michael de Tregollas, John, son
of Martin and others.
Given at Tregenfon on Tuesday in the feast of the Translation of St Thomas the Martyr in the year above [7 July 1304].
