Maud Haroveden' of Schytelangre [Shutlanger, in Stoke Bruerne, Northamptonshire] in her widowhood has given, granted and confirmed to Sir William Gyllot', the parson of the church of Thornton' [Buckinghamshire], and Simon Cartere the younger of the same, 1 tenement with an adjacent garden in Thornton', situated between the tenement formerly of Richard Cart[er]e and the common bakehouse of Sir John Chastelon, knight, the lord of the vill, together with 1 acre of land and a half, of which half an acre of land lies at Lambecoteslade between the land of Simon Cart[er]e and the land of Robert Cartere and extends to Gaulond', another half acre of land lies on Dychefourlong' between the land of the aforesaid Simon Cartere and Robert Cartere and extends to Dychwey and to Lowewey, and also the other half acre of land lies on Wellespryngfourlong' between the land of the aforesaid Simon Cartere and Robert Cartere and extends to Barlyhulle Wey and to Wellespryng'. To hold to them, their heirs and assigns, of the chief lords.
