Image (AALT)		 29 Ed 1 Rothwell William Makepays Simon de Cotesbrok de Rowell Richard de Clynton de Rowell & Peter Wyncent of Rowell Found dead in the town opposite the house of Richard le Jevene with a wound in the left side made with a long knymplo or so it seems. William had argued with Peter le Blexter de Foxton on the head. In the evening, Peter and John son of Thomas Gladwyne de Rowell struck Wm with a long kinpulo. John fled to the church and Peter to the fields and the town. John's chattels were a sword worth 12 pence, a bow and arrows worth 3 pence, a knypul worth 1 pennce. Peter's chattels were a sword worth 6 pence.

Image (AALT)		 30 Ed1 Braybrooke Thomas le Man de Braybrok Muriell his wife Richard atteStile & Thomas le Koc both of Braybrok. Died in his house from a head wound. He went to Rushton and heard a hue and cry? Geoffrey de Bermingham struck Thomas on the head with a staff called a balstaff. Geoffrey had no chattels.

Image (AALT)		 30 Ed1 Rothwell William le Mouner de Rowell William climbed into the belfry in the church and at the top of the ladder it broke and he fell. He confessed and took communion. The ladder was worth 3 pence.

Image (AALT)		 30 Ed1 Arthingworth Hugh Wade An argument arose between Roger Gylot de West Haddon and Robert son of Richard of Maidwell and Hugh Wade of Arzingworth intervened. Roger struck Robert on the head with a sparch and Roger struck Hugh also with the hatchet causing a wound to the brain from which he died after confessing and taking communion. Roger's chattels were cloth worth 3 pence. Robert's chattels were a coat worth 6 pence. The hatchet was worth 3 pence. The hospital of Dingley in Arzingworth.

Image (AALT)		 30 Ed1 Little Bouden Walter Ridel Robert Ridel his brother Hugh Aylward de Little Oxendon and Adam Le Eyr de Clipston In a place called Boudone Mor Walter Ridel of Great Oxendon was found dead with head wound made with a pollax or so it appeared. William Bround of Maidwell killed Walter and Wm had no chattels.

He had climbed an oak tree in the wood to cut a branch and he fell. The hatchet was worth 6 pence and the oak 12 pence.

At the house of Bel__ (son) of Gilbert de Riston he was collecting rent for the abbot of Pipewell? Alan de (Hallenton) killed him with a Knyplo and then fled to the church at Riston. Long report.

He had argued with Henry le Jongehusebonde of Rowell who struck him with a staff. William son of the reeve groom of Henry le Jongehusebonde. Chattels listed

Image (AALT)		 32 Ed1 Rothwell Henry le Jongehusebonde de Rowell and William son of the Reeve took refuge in the church at Rothwell and confessed that they killed Gilbert son of Alexander. Henry was sent to (Portsmouth) and William to Dover.

Image (AALT)		 1 Ed2 Clipston Robert Fot Willam his son Adam de Clipstone & Thomas le Tayor of the same At the windmill at Clipstone Robert Fot of Clipston miller was found dead with wounds from a staff or so it seemed. John of Medbourne who used to be miller at Arthingworth and Roger de Belton and William de Walton miller of Neubolt had killed him? Roger and William were captured by J. de Wilby sheriff? John de Medbourne fled and the sheriff is to capture him.

Image (AALT)		 3 Ed2 Draughton William Baker de Drautone Simon le Vinter of Drautone John son of Walter de Brampon and Walter son of Henry de Drauton At Drautone in a place called Dedemor, William had a cart with bolemong and a rope broke and William fell to the ground living for 6 days in which he confessed and took communion. The ... was worth 18 pence, the cart, harness and rope worth 12 pence, the corn 6 pence.

Image (AALT)		 3 Ed2 Pipewell John de Dunchurche At West Grange de Pipwell, John was found with head wounds and he confessed and took communion. Walter le Westurne with arrows and a rake? John was struck but the wound was not fatal? A sickness called frenersis (madness?).

Clipston Robert le Palmere de Clipstone Alice le Palmere Thomas le Palmere & William le Palmere Found dead in the street with a wound on the right side of his head penetrating to the brain. Robert and Jurdon de Clipston were in the tavern in the house of Agnes le Eyr at night and an argument ensued. Robert was struck with a spade. Jurdon fled, chattels listed.

Image (AALT)		 3 Ed2 Clipston Matilda Reynald de Naseby Emma dtr of Robert Reynald Adam Goseye & William Baron Found drowned in a marl pit with no wounds. Matilda was looking after beasts in the fields of Nausby and decided to bathe in the pit and had removed her clothes. (It was early May).

Rothwell Simon Rowe of Kettering Roger le Thacher William Pelle de Rowelle & Telbe le Souter of the same In the fields of Rothewelle in a place called Tharpsti, Simon was found with his neck broken. He was riding from Barton to Brampton at night and was set upon by unknown thieves who struck him with a staff and took a coat and russet tunic.

(Hothorpe was a small settlement in the parish of Marston Trussell)

Robert de Carlton miller of Harrington (Hezerington) and others unknown killed him. They burgled and John was tied-up and Norman raising the alarm was killed? Robert had no chattels.

Image (AALT)		 4 Ed2 Clipston William S___ & Agnes dtr of Willia le Moun' Elina their mother Adam le Eyr de Clipston & William le Hayward of the same Found burned in a house. A candle set fire to peas in the house, and Elina narrowly escaped with her life.

Image (AALT)		 4 Ed2 Thorpe Underwood Robert son of Adam de Clipstone Nicholas son of Asseline Smith Walter de Haltone & Ralph de Kelmarsh both of Clipston In the fields of Thorp Undirwode, found with chest wounds to the heart from an arrow or so it seemed. Robert and John (the parson's servant) rode to Rothwell. Walter le Lathemaker de (Horetros) and Richard le Sawer of the same came across them and they argued. Walter was hit in the leg with his sword and wounded. John struck Walter on the head and Walter fell to the ground. Richard drew an arrow and killed Robert. Walter and Richard were captured by the sheriff. Chattels listed.

Image (AALT) 32 Ed1 Braybrooke Robert le White Emma le White Geoffrey son of Henry de Wardon & William de Desburgh Found by Emma le White in a garden in the vill of Braybrok and a hue and cry was raised. Robert and Roger Le Warner came from Desborough and in the fields 6 unknown men on horses. Thomas de Latimer. Robert fled to the garde and in the evening died. The sword was worth 6 pence.

Land gave way and he fell in? the fycoys was worth 3 pence and the ... 5 pence.

Gilbert de Cornwayle killed John and fled. His chattels were a flagell (flail?) worth 1 penny.

Image (AALT) 34 Ed1 Sibbertoft Cristiana le Seustere Agnes le Seuster her mother John de Naseby de Sibbertoft & Simon son of Richard of the same Found dead in her house with a knife wound over the heart or so it appeared. Unknown thieves came at night to burgle the house and Christiana was killed. The knife was worth 1 penny.

Image (AALT) 34 Ed1 Hothorpe John de Barkschyr William le Lay Adam Palmere de Huthorpe & John Templer of the same., Adam Smith, Peter Child, Elias Fouler and Ralph Fraunceys all of Huthorpe. Found with a knife wound to the heart or so it seemed. William de Boltisham, Adam his brother. The house of William le Lay. Adam assualted John then fled to the church at Thedingworth in county Leicester.
Image (AALT) 34 Ed1 Rothwell Simon son of William John his brother William de Spratton & Richard Le Irunmonger At the church of the Holy Trinity in Rozewell, Simon son of William de Sprattone in Rozewell was found dead. He was in the belfry on a board and fell to the ground. He lived for a day. The board was worth 1 penny.

John had gone to the pond in the evening to wash and by accident had slipped into the pond and drowned.

Image (AALT) 5 Ed2 Thorpe Malsor Richard son of John de Thorpmalesovers aged 8 John his father Bate Wyndehed de Overton & Walter Wyndehed of the same Found drowned in a well in the courtyard of his father with no wounds. He had gone to fetch water in a pot and by accident had fallen in and drowned. The pot was worth a half penny.
Image (AALT) 5 Ed2 Rushton Peter le Tournour de Bereforde Alice his wife Hugh Elys de Bereford & John Barun of the same In the fields of Rushton in a place called Suctroft Peter was found dead with mortal head wounds mde with a pollax or so it seemed. Peter left Barford on his own to go to the tavern of Reginald Wagge of Rushton. Coming back we met with unknown thieves who killed him and fled. The pollax was worth 2 pence. (Barford was a settlement in the parish of Rushton).
Image (AALT) 5 Ed2 Desborough Robert de Paylington of county Warwick Died in the house of Matilda of Melchebourne in Desborough with a head wound. Robert went at night on his own to the house of John Hauberge de Desborow and in the streeet he slipped on a stone and fell hitting his head. He lived for 3 weeks and confessed and took communion. The stone was worth a half penny.

Image (AALT) 7 Ed2 Hazelbeech Agnes dtr of Robert (Kyng) Felise Kyng Robert Kyng de Hasilbech & Geoffrey de Parson of the same At the house of Felise Kyng, Agnes died in her bed and her body was crushed. Agnes and Felise were in bed under an earth wall at the gable of the house. The wall fell onto the bed and Agnes was killed. The wall was worth 1 penny.
