Image (AALT)		 Northampton, Market Drayton, Highgate 1 Ric2 John Pigger John Phelpot of Drayton Hales, Shropshire took refuge in the monastery of St Andrew Northampton in the chapel of St Mary 18th December 1377 and confessed he was a thief at Kirkeby in Warwickshire and that he had stolen a grey horse worth 10 shillings from an unknown man and had killed John Pigger a poulterer at Hygate on 29th November 1367. He said he would not abjure the realm until the fourtieth day and was placed under guard but he escaped to an unknown place. He had no chattels.

Image (AALT)		 Northampton, Stockton 2 Ric2 Robert Clerc of Stockton in Huntingdonshire took refuge in the Carmelite church in Northampton on 5th July 1378 and confessed that he had the previous night escaped from the king's prison in Northampton and had fled to the church. He said he would not abjure the realm until the fourtieth day and the bailiffs were ordered to guard him safely.
