This index is compiled from The National Archives JUST 2/114 roll for Northamptonshire. A range of dates is included but reports do not appear to be consecutive and not all years are present. Dates could not be determined for some inquests.

Many membranes are only partly legible such that large amounts of information are lost. Images 36 to 54 are practically illegible and/or damaged. However, where a placename or personal names could be determined on these membranes the inquest report is noted. Images 64 to 68 contain appeals (accusations) and the names and places that could be deduced are included.

Robert Spalding of Priors Marston fled to the church of Norton where he confessed that he was a thief and that on 2nd October 1368 he had stolen 32 sheep at Napton in the county of Warwick worth 20d each and had driven them to Towcester. He was arrested by Richard Ters the bailiff but escaped to the church at Norton. He abjured the realm and was assigned to Southampton. Towcester will account for the sheep except two for which Norton will account.

He had goods and chattels worth 17 shillings of which Bugbrooke will account for 10 shillings and a half penny, Stowe Magna for 5/6d for the cow, and the township of Holdenby for 18d the value of two plate found there.

He had no land or tenements.
