This page indexes coroners' inquests for Northamptonshire from the JUST 2/106 roll which The National Archives dates from 25 Edward I to 20 Edward II. The roll covers villages around Oundle in particular. Personal names and placenames are extracted for this index and brief details of events are provided in many cases. The roll is generally in good condition although about four or five of the earliest inquests at the beginning of membrane 1 are difficult to read and also some later on the same membrane. There is one inquest from 20 Edward II but otherwise they stop at 17 Edward II. Lists and values of chattels of suspected felons are often given.
