The National Archives gaol delivery roll JUST 3/160 covers several counties from 1374 to 1376. Entries for Northamptonshire are indexed here and the index of names and places is intended simply as a finding aid for deliveries to the gaol at Northampton castle. In some cases jury verdicts are included. Further information about the offences is available in the original roll.

50 Ed3 Thrapston William le zouch de Haryngworth Ralph Bakere de Thrapston & John Bulwyk smyth de Thrapston in custody for stealing for stealing 11 cattle worth 10 pounds from Richard de Stafford at Stanesby. Jurors say John is not guilty and that Ralph is guilty and to hang. Ralph's chattels are worth 40 shillings and Robert the bailif of the county of Stafford responds.
