Agreement: Henry has acknowledged the messuage and land to be the right of Nicholas, as those which Nicholas has of his gift, to hold to Nicholas and the heirs of his body, of Henry for the life of Henry, rendering yearly 100 shillings at 4 terms, to wit, at the Nativity of St John the Baptist 25 shillings, at the feast of St Michael 25 shillings, at Christmas 25 shillings and at Easter 25 shillings. And after the decease of Henry, Nicholas shall hold to himself and his aforesaid heirs the messuage and land of the heirs of Henry for ever, rendering yearly 1 penny at Easter. And then the heirs of Henry will warrant, acquit and defend to Nicholas and his aforesaid heirs the messuage and land against all men for ever. In default of such heirs, the messuage and land shall revert to Henry and his heirs, quit of the other heirs of Nicholas, to hold of the chief lords for ever.

Note: This agreement was made in the presence of John, the prior of Bermundeseye, who remised and quitclaimed from himself and his successors and their church to Luke and his heirs all right and claim which he had in the manor, excepting the advowson of the church of the same vill and the church, which the prior and his church had in their own uses on the day the agreement was made, for ever.
