For this, John and Elizabeth have granted for themselves and the heirs of Elizabeth that 1 messuage and the pasture and carucate of land, excepting 8 acres of land in the same carucate - which John Deryng' the younger and Joan, his wife, held for their lives - and that 1 messuage and 4 acres of land of the aforesaid land above excepted - which Alice Bedel held for life - and that 1 messuage and 4 acres of land of the aforesaid land above excepted - which Thomas Swety and Joan, his wife, and Richard, son of the same Thomas and Joan, held for their lives - and that 1 messuage - which John Baudewyne, shepherd, held for life - and also that 1 messuage - which John Prudhome held for life - of the inheritance of Elizabeth in the aforesaid vill on the day the agreement was made, which 4 messuages and 8 acres of land after the decease of Alice, Thomas, Joan, his wife, Richard, John Baudewyne, shepherd, and John Prudhome ought to remain to John Deryng' and Joan, his wife, if John and Joan survive them, to hold for the lives of John Deryng' and Joan, his wife, and which 1 messuage, the aforesaid carucate of land and the pasture after the decease of John Deryng' and Joan, his wife, and also the aforesaid 4 messuages and 8 acres of land after the decease of John and Joan, his wife, Alice, Thomas, Joan, his wife, Richard, John Baudewyne, shepherd, and John Prudhome ought to revert to John Baudewyne and Elizabeth and the heirs of Elizabeth - after the decease of [the same persons] shall remain to William and Nicholas and the heirs of William, to hold of the chief lords for ever. |
