This is the final concord made in the king's court at Westminster on St Andrew's Day in the first year of the reign of King John [30 November 1199] before G[eoffrey] Fitz Peter, William de Warenne, Richard Herriard, Simon Pattishall, Osbert son of Hervey, John Gestling, justices, and others faithful to the king there present, between Hugh de Wingham, plaintiff, who has appointed William de Pyle as his representative, win or lose, and Elias de Baiocis and Albreda his wife, defendants, represented by William son of John, win or lose, concerning a hide of land with appurtenances in Micheldever, whence the plea was made between them in the aforesaid court that the said Elias and Albreda recognize all the aforesaid land to belong by right and inheritance to the said Hugh. For this recognition, fine and concord, the said Hugh has granted all the land with appurtenances to Elias and his wife Albreda, for them and their heirs to hold from him and his heirs, in perpetuity, for the fine of a fifth part of a knight's fee, for all service. And moreover the same Hugh has given Elias and Albreda 20s.

Property: Half a knight's fee, with appurtenances, in Stoke (Stok'), whence a plea was before the court.
Agreement: Richard has acknowledged that the said half fee belongs by right and inheritance to Hillary and in return Hillary has granted it to Richard for life to be held of Hillary and his heirs. After Richard's death, his heirs will hold two thirds of the half fee from Hillary and his heirs for the service due for that two thirds. The third part of that fee, with the capital messuage, will return to Hillary and his heirs. If Richard dies without an heir, reversion of the whole of the said fee will be to Hillary and his heirs.

Agreement: Robert has granted and quitclaimed, in pure and perpetual alms, for himself and his heirs, to the abbot and monks of Waverley and their successors, all the said lands in Worldham, and he will provide warranty for them and acquit them of all service due to the king and all men. In return the abbot and monks have given Robert [?]30 marks.

And if Alditha, wife [?of Richard Armiger ?outlives] her husband, she will hold that land for life for ............. for all except forinsec service. And after the deaths of Richard and Alditha all [the land will revert to] Richard de Anesie or his heirs.

Parties: William Briwer, plaintiff, and Stephen, prior of St Swithun's, Winchester, and the convent, defendants.
Property: The marsh of ?Houghton (Hocton'), which William surrounded with a ditch (fossavit) in the first year of King John's reign to extend his park of Howude, whence a plea was before the court.
Agreement: The prior and convent quitclaimed, for themselves and their successors, to William Briwer' and his heirs the whole marsh, retaining for themselves and their successors the stream flowing to their mill of Houghton. In exchange William gave the prior and convent 20s. rent, namely 10s. rent from land in the High Street of Winchester at the stake which Jocelin Simich held, and 10s. from land outside the south gate which is next to the prior's demesne farm (bertona). William will provide warranty for the rent against all men, and if he cannot do so he will give the priory exchange to the same value. The first chirograph drawn up between William and the prior concerning the said marsh is cancelled.

Property: 1 virgate, with appurtenances, in Murrell (Morhall'), [Odiham], whence a plea was before the court.
Agreement: Gunilda de Broc and Peter acknowledged that the virgate belonged by right and inheritance to Gunilda widow of Arthur. In return for this quitclaim, Gunilda widow of Arthur granted Gunila de Broc, for life, a quarter of the virgate, with appurtenances, namely a croft called Northcroft, for 6d. annual rent at Michaelmas for all except forinsec service. After the death of Gunilda de Broc the said land will revert to Gunilda widow of Arthur and her heirs, quit of the heirs of Gunilda de Broc, in perpetuity.
