For this, Robert has granted for himself and his heirs [that] the manor - which William Passelewe of Wauyndon' and Joan, his wife, held for the life of Joan of the inheritance of Robert [on the day] the agreement was made, and which after the decease of Joan ought to revert to Robert and his heirs - after the decease of Joan shall remain to Philip, to hold of the chief lords for the life of Philip. And after the decease of Philip the manor shall remain to Thomas, son of the same Philip, and the heirs of his body, to hold of the chief lords [for ever]. In default of such heirs, successive remainders (1) [to Roger] de Aylesbury, knight, and the male heirs of his body and (2) to the right heirs of Philip. |
