Property: Concerning [a plea] that the prior was summoned to show why, to the damage of Stephen of 60 shillings, he took away from Stephen a great part of a certain corrody which he was accustomed to receive in the house of the prior of Felley, and which he ought to receive for his life.
Action: Plea.
Agreement: The prior acknowledged and granted for himself and his successors and their church of St Mary of Felley that Stephen shall henceforth have and receive each week at the priory of Felley for his life, while he remains in the same place, 7 white conventual loaves of which each loaf will be of the weight of 40 shillings, and 7 gallons of good conventual ale and 7 good dishes of cooked food, just as any canon of the same priory shall receive, well and freely. The prior also granted for himself and his successors and their church that Stephen shall henceforth have a moiety of that room which he was accustomed to have before in the priory, with all the curtilage pertaining to the room, and also that he shall have grass, hay and straw for his horse while he remains in the same place, and that he shall have common of pasture for all kinds of his cattle with the cattle of the prior and his successors in Felley for the life of Stephen. And besides the prior granted for himself and his successors and their church that they shall henceforth render each year to Stephen 1 quarter of good and dry wheat at Notingh[a]m at the feast of St Thomas the Apostle for the life of Stephen. And while Stephen remains elsewhere than in the priory, each week he shall receive 12 pence for the corrody for his life. And after the decease of Stephen the prior and his successors and their church shall be quit of the payment of the bread, the ale, the dishes and the grain for ever.
