Agreement: The earl and Eleanor have granted to Henry the castle and manors together with the fees, advowsons and all other things belonging to the castle and manors - which the earl and Eleanor hold for the life of Eleanor, with reversion of the same after the death of Eleanor belonging to the aforesaid Henry, son of the aforesaid Eleanor, and his heirs, and have rendered them to Henry in the court, to hold to him for the life of Eleanor of the lord king and his heirs, rendering to the earl and Eleanor 400 marks a year at the terms of Christmas and the Nativity of St John the Baptist, or within a month after the said terms, by equal portions. If the rent should be in arrears, the earl and Eleanor shall have the right to reenter and hold the castle and manors together with the fees and advowsons and all other things belonging to them, or to distrain in them. And in case Henry should die while Eleanor is living, from then it shall be lawful for the earl and Eleanor to reenter and hold the castle and manors together with the fees and advowsons and all other things belonging to them for the life of Eleanor, always saving the reversion to the heirs of Henry after the death of Eleanor.
