modern doctrine, BARONESS STRANGE (of Blackmere), only da. (who on 23 Aug. 1383
became sole h.) of John (LESTRANGE), IV LORD STRANGE (of Blackmere),
by Mary, da. of Richard (FITZALAN),
EARL OF ARUNDEL.
Ankaret's mother, Mary, was the daughter of Edmund, the 9th earl of Arundel, not Richard, the 10th earl (see Arundel, vol.1, p.244, note b).
