Some corrections and additions to the Complete Peerage: Volume 12, Part 1: Southampton

His widow [i.e. Mary, the daughter of Anthony (Browne), 1st Viscount Montagu, and the widow of Henry (Wriothesley), Earl of Southampton and Baron Wriothesley (d.1581)] m., 2 May 1594, as his 2nd wife, Sir Thomas HENEAGE, Vice-Chamberlain of the Household and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, who d. 17 Oct. 1595, and was bur. 20 Nov. at St. Paul's Cath.(g) M.I. Will dat. 6 Aug., pr. 13 Nov. 1595.

Sir Thomas Heneage's first wife, Anne, the daughter of Sir Nicholas Poyntz, had died 30 November 1593 [Complete Peerage vol.12, part 2, p.773, citing Genealogist, new series, vol.28, p.184 (an abstract of Anne's inquisition post mortem, taken 3 November 1597)]. (The year of her death was given wrongly as 1594 by Sir John Maclean, An Historical and Genealogical Memoir of the Family of Poyntz, p.96 (1886), which would conflict with the date of Sir Thomas's remarriage given above.)

Dugdale's work, cited above, contains an engraving of the monument to Sir Thomas and Anne at St Paul's (which was destroyed in the Great Fire of London), with a transcript of the inscription, in which the years of their deaths are wrongly given as 1594 and 1592 respectively. The latter date is shown to be wrong not only by Anne's inquisition post mortem, but also by a letter dated 8 July 1593, in which her brother William Poyntz mentions a visit to her (printed by Maclean, p.79). The errors were perhaps made when the monument was restored by their descendant Heneage Finch, Earl of Winchilsea, in the middle of the 17th century. In John Stow's Survey of London (1598) the date is correctly given as 1595 [C.L. Kingsford's edition, vol.1, p.338 (1908)].
