Douglas Richardson, in August 2002, produced evidence that this Emma was the niece of Warin de Bassingbourn, who in 1265 or 1266 gave to Laurence in free marriage with Emma the manor of Cotes, Northamptonshire [citing L.C. Loyd and D.M. Stenton, Sir Christopher Hatton's Book of Seals, pp.82-83 (1950)].
