Volume 6, page 567, note A:
According to Harl. MS. 381, his
[Sir Thomas Hoo's (father of Sir Thomas Hoo, Lord Hoo, d. 1454/5)]
2nd wife was Elizabeth, da. of William de Echingham, by whom he had issue a son, another Thomas Hoo,
mentioned in the will of Lord Hoo as his brother, which will also refers to "my lady
lewkenore my mother in lawe" [sic - step-mother], the said Elizabeth Wychingham
having married, 2ndly, Sir Thomas Lewkenor (Sussex Arch. Coll., vol. viii, p. 110).
'Wychingham' is an error for 'Echingham' here. Elizabeth Wychingham was the first wife of Lord Hoo (see page 564).
[Curt Hofemann pointed out this error in November 2010.
