He [Ralph de Greystoke (d. 1323)] m., after 25 Nov. 1317,(f) Alice, sister of Hugh, EARL OF GLOUCESTER, and da. of Hugh (AUDLEY), LORD AUDLEY, by Iseude, widow of Sir Walter DE BALUN, of Much Marcle, co. Hereford, and da. of Sir Edmund DE MORTIMER, of Wigmore, co. Hereford.
Note f:
Request, by the King, for a papal dispensation that Ralph Craystoke, of the diocese of York, and Alice de Audele the King's kinswoman, of the diocese of Coventry and Lichfield, might intermarry, although the said Ralph and Alice are related in the 4th-3rd degrees of consanguinity: Windsor, 25 Nov. 11 [not 12] Edw. II. (Roman Roll, 11-14 Edw. II, m. 14d).

Iseude, the wife of Hugh Audley, Lord Audley, was not a Mortimer, but was a daughter of Roger le Rus or Rous; see Audley (of Stratton Audley), vol. 1, pp. 347, 348.
