Volume 2, page 427 (as modified by volume 14):
He
[Bartholomew (Burghersh), Lord Burghersh (d. 1369)]
m., 2ndly, before Aug. 1366,
Margaret, widow of Henry PICHARD, citizen and vintner of London.(c)
Note c:
Dugdale calls her "sister to Bartholomew, Lord Badlesmere" upon the
authority of Glover's MS. Collections. If this be true, she was great-aunt to her
second husband! V.G.
Margaret is identified by Roskell et al., History of Parliament [The House of Commons 1386-1421, vol. 2, p. 410], as the widow of Henry Picard of London, vintner, (who was living in 1363) and the daughter and coheir of Thomas Gisors of London.
[Margaret's identity was given by Douglas Richardson in August 2002,
and further details were provided by Rosie Bevan in November 2003.
