Volume 1, page 149:
He
[Gilbert de Umfreville, son of Gilbert de Umfreville, Earl of Angus (d. 1307)]
m. Margaret, 1st da. of Sir Thomas DE CLARE,
Lord of Thomond in Connaught, by Julian, 2nd da. and eventually sole h. of Maurice
FITZ MAURICE, Lord Justice of Ireland.
Thomas de Clare, lord of Thomond, was a younger son of Richard de Clare, Earl of Gloucester and Hertford [d. 1262], (see Gloucester).
Volume 1, page 149 (as modified by volume 14):
He
[Robert (de Umfreville), Earl of Angus and Lord Umfreville (d. 1325)]
m., 1stly, before 20 Sep. 1303, Lucy, da.
and in her issue h. of Sir Philip DE KYME
[1st LORD KYME], by Joan, da.
of Sir Hugh LE BIGOD, Chief Justiciar of England.
It is not clear whether Lucy was Philip's heir in her issue, as she had a sister Agnes who left issue, and it is unknown whether this issue became extinct (see Kyme, volume 7, page 357 and note d).
