The AALT website contains State Papers from 1558 to 1580. They are mostly administrative documents but some contain lists of people that might be of use to local and family historians. As such, papers relating to Northamptonshire are extracted here and mostly concern musters and vagrants apprehended for punishment. The muster rolls in this series seem to list only the gentry. Unfortunately, the full county-wide muster roll for Northants which would have included the names of men from most towns and villages does not appear to have survived. Papers relating solely to administrative matters in the county are not included.
